Penn Township Community Park

Penn Township Park is located along Old Baltimore Pike and Lewis Road, next to the township building. The beautiful 10-acre passive park features walking trails, sand volley ball courts, putting greens, horseshoe pits, BBQ grills, a children’s rock climbing wall and three playgrounds. This ideal family-style picnic park is designed to meet the needs of our age-restricted communities as well as families with young children. A large pavilion and four smaller pavilions are available for public use and may also be rented for private events. The Penn Township Park is a gated park open from 8:00am until dusk with public restrooms available during park hours. The Park was dedicated at the First Annual Community Picnic in October, 2005.

 

Park Rules

  • No pets or animals are permitted in the park
  • No bicycles, scooters, skates, roller blades, wagons or other wheeled non-motorized devices.
    *WHEELCHAIRS AND STROLLERS ARE PERMITTED*
  • No alcoholic and/or intoxicating beverages and/or controlled substances
  • No fires are permitted except in grilles provided. *NO PERSONAL GRILLES ALLOWED*
  • No firearms, fireworks or explosives
  • No motor vehicles of any type
  • No sound equipment / amplification
  • No improper conduct, immoral conduct or illegal activity permitted
  • No defacing of buildings, fences, park property, landscaping, etc.
  • No soliciting
  • No dangerous athletic equipment
  • No recreational activity played outside of designated areas
  • No disposing of refuse, waste or garbage in the park
  • No posting or erecting any advertising device
  • No use of park and recreational area before or after posted hours All rules, regulations, posted signs, warnings and prohibitions posted in the area of the park and recreational areas must be obeyed.

    • Any person('s) violating any provisions or sections of Ordinance No. 2003-04 – Park and Recreational Area Regulations (on file at Township Office) shall be prosecuted and convicted.

    Minimum fine of $50.00 - Maximum fine of $500.00 plus costs.

    RESERVATION POLICY: Pavilions and Gazebos are available for rental. The use of special facilities by groups must be approved by Penn Township. Contact the Penn Township Office at (610-869-9620) for rental fee information and reservation availability.
